Session Fees:

- Appointments are $250 per session for individual therapy.
- This standard fee is set below the Australian Psychological Society and AAPi recommended rates for individual therapy (which recommend ≥$318 and $330 per session, respectively), to try to support financial accessibility while balancing business costs and workload.
Session Duration:
- A standard appointment goes for 50 minutes.
- For reference, the session fee covers your 50 minute session, alongside time spent on case notes, treatment/session planning, admin, case consultation, business overheads, registration requirements, and more.
Rebates:
- For people with a valid Mental Health Care Plan or Eating Disorder Treatment Plan, and referral letter from their GP, a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session is available.
- The Medicare rebate can be used for up to 10 Mental Health Care Plan sessions per year, and 40 Eating Disorder Plan sessions per year.
- Concession rates for session fees may be available upon request and discussion.
Session Formats:
Sessions are currently held in office or via telehealth. Telehealth sessions can be held via video (Zoom) or phone, with the option of additional tech-based modalities to support accessibility.
- Zoom Sessions:
- For Zoom sessions, you’ll receive a Zoom link via email 24 hours prior to your appointment. Please use this link to join your session at the scheduled session start time.
- When you join the Zoom for your session, you’ll first be in the Zoom “waiting room”; Alecia will click to commence the session at the scheduled start time.
- Phone Sessions:
- For phone sessions, Alecia will phone you at the scheduled session start time.
Outstanding Invoices
Clients with 2 outstanding invoices (including late cancellation/no show fees) will need to pay the balance in full prior to their next session or risk having their sessions cancelled/put on hold.
Cancellation and/or Missed Session:
- Please notify us as soon as possible if you cannot attend your appointment. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice incur the full session fee (Medicare rebates do not apply). If you’re unwell or unable to attend in person, telehealth or indirect supports (e.g., report writing, communication with external services) are available.
- If you miss a session without prior notice, the full session fee applies. A session is classified as a “no-show” if:
- You do not attend (in-person or online), or
- You do not answer the phone within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time.
- If you know you’ll be late, please inform us as soon as possible so we can adjust if possible.
